Read it earlier this morning, excellent article. Hope you are doing better nowadays. 
An incredibly relatable article, I consider myself lucky in some ways but I very easily could have been in a similar situation with my poor beleaguered Dakota in the past months, pushing that thing across America, to anywhere thats not Florida. Even then, I'll likely be doing a similar trip this year with my new Vibe, which is thankfully more reliable....
your writing is always fantastic in the overlap of automotive and emotive. reading these makes me want to live more genuinely, somehow. great work!
