one of my recurring projects has been harnessing the fucked-up energy people put into simsun to explore the emotional space created by certain kinds of non-commercial public art - particularly thinking of the big-character poster movement in the PRC in the 70s. i tend to use it pretty specifically for art about being a weird trans person.
most of my t-shirts explore this space, plus a few poems. it's fun. it looks cool, in a way i know will be dated in a decade, but whatever. god will strengthen my arm
