like, it's a fun format, don't get me wrong, but the way it and Reels, Shorts, Snap Stories et al. are designed means you get a constant feed of noisy bullshit that's hard to pause.
when my wife is scrolling reels it is impossible to talk to her because of the uninterruptible cascade of Content™️
it is literally pausable, yes, but the ergonomics of pausing a Reel are so fucking bad that I don't want to bother her to try it. but we're both so ADHD that we'll let scrolling breaks like this last way too long. Anyway I'm glad for networks that aren't abusive by design, like Cohost!
