Guess I should make a master post about this before I forget-
I'm working on a little game called DNA Swap (title may change). It's an idea I've had since I was a kid in 2016, and now that I'm in college taking programming classes, I think it would be super cool if I was actually able to make it a reality. So, after an insane amount of modifying the original concept, I've got something really cool! ^^ no actual code yet, but I've got a ton of ideas to post about.
The attached images on this post show the main character's alternate forms that will be unlocked at various stages of the game, usually linked to a location. The hexagon grid is the complete world map (altho heavily work in progress ^^') showcasing a ton of distinct areas and levels. My goal is for every level to be very distinct, to have reason to replay every single one, and to make sure it feels unique again when you go back and replay it with a different alt form.
The other image covered in sticky notes is a tiny biography of several villagers that you'd meet in the starting town. I haven't fully fleshed this facet out yet either, but I'm tossing around the idea of quests, and fun branching dialogue paths.
