THEYRE SO PRETTY!!! i've not seen zebras before!! do you happen to have any rubber duckies perchance?
I have some in the same genus but I do not have traditional duckies yet 😔 They're the luxury sports cars of pods I'm too nervous to take the leap until I've kept pods for a little longer. I've only been keeping them as a hobbyist for two years !
LOL yeah they definitely are... I made the mistake of getting my colony of duckies before I was really great at keeping isopods and I ended up losing the colony :( that was a bummer.
Its such a bummer :(( Plus, there is a non-zero amount of people still exporting/smuggling duckie species before they can be officially classified and it makes me feel conflicted about getting them myself, even if I could guarantee a captive bred source
oh god, yeah. I know mine were captive bred because I met the woman breeding them myself, but I have no clue who she got HER first ones from, ect ect
My partner and I got our first zebras a few days ago!! I'm so excited; they're the ones I've been wanting since we started the hobby (although I love our Armadillidium vulgare as well~)
I feel like little zebras are the essential pod to own, they're the species that started people's interest in the hobby after all ! I hope they give you lots and lots of mancae :3
