Hi! I'm a bay area expat that now lives in Saint Louis. I play tennis, D&D, and board games, and I work as a data scientist.

I was formerly @M_L_G on twitter, now I'm @ftl@wandering.shop on mastodon, savfan104 at dreamwidth, and my name on facebook.

many of my posts work better over here on cohost than they do on twt/fedi/bsky because they can utilize even just light formatting to help punch up the joke. compare, using this post as an example:

cohosteverywhere else
“Kneel.”

...and then a voice, from across the orgy...

Neil: Yeah, what’s up?
“Kneel.”

...and then a voice, from across the orgy...

Neil: Yeah, what’s up?

sure, it's subtle, but the formatting in the left example helps suggest a more imposing tone for the first line, and the bold on the last line helps draw your attention to the character's name, as well as helping visually separate the name from the dialogue (you'll notice I do that a lot, especially when recounting conversations with my partners)
