This was my first run on Hard difficulty and it was still fairly easy. As you can see from the first screenshot I defeated the Act 4 Boss (Seija Kijin) without taking any damage.
In fact, the last fight was extremely one-sided in a lot of ways. I took four turns in a row and drew through and played through my entire deck before Seija even took a single turn and then later on in the fight I took another 5 turns in a row and unlocked the MY Turn achievement. By the time the fight was done I had racked up 71 mana, 167 barrier, and 76 charges of Time Pulse.
There were two cards that did most of the heavy lifting:
-
I had two copies of this in the deck and this card is RIDICULOUS and was far and away the most important card of the run. I had played this card before, but this run really showed off the card's potential. Thanks to this card I was playing with a full hand of 10 (free) cards almost every single turn (just like in the screenshot), with plenty of energy to spare to plow into additional card draw as necessary.
-
This card is way better than I originally thought because of how flexible and reliable it is. As it turns out, there are exactly 5 cards in the White/Blue card pool that cost 5 energy, so if you pay X=4 then you're always awarded the choice of one of those 5 cards:
… and those are all really great options! You can either go on defense (with The Falling Moon Rabbit) or on offense (with You Are Next!) or take an extra turn (with Clock Corpse or Luna Clock) or you can play The Reclusive Sage, which is a strong long-term play (although I already had that so this was less useful to me).
