... i figured instead of being just whiny about it, i should write a feature request about it. you know, bare minimum effort to manifest what i want!

i even made a mockup although it is butt-ugly.

this one is in addition/conjunction with a previous feature request that is still one of the more popular ones: https://help.antisoftware.club/support/discussions/topics/62000183100

and i would also love something like this media gallery: https://help.antisoftware.club/support/discussions/topics/62000183148

but anyway, if you'd like for cohost to support audio uploads, i'd appreciate a vote up, and feel free to join the conversation as well (or make a nicer looking mockup lmao)!

in reply to @surasshu's post:

Thank you for making this request, I'm really hoping it gains some traction

Edit: As a somewhat related note, this is a great example of how the tech industry/community treats audio in general. It's one of the two senses anyone can use to interact with a device, yet it's a 2nd thought (or 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc.).

Well they could just keep the same upload cap lol

It’s possible to basically arbitrarily shrink video, you can recognizably fit even two hour long movies into just a handful of megabytes. the results are rarely pleasant tho. Really low frame rate, crunchy audio, terrible resolution, the works.

signed up to vote and toss in a bit of feedback! cohost hasn't really had a lot of tools to support musicians and the community has suffered a lot for it. bandcamp/soundcloud embeds just don't hold the same allure as css crime posts and doesn't interface with cohost's software in a useful or direct way to a potential listener, unfortunately. hoping this gets some gears turning for some change!
