Between Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Monster Hunter, I think Capcom has done more to shape video games as a medium than any other single developer besides literally Nintendo. All four of these franchises are the culture-defining bedrocks of their genres, which have become critical foundations of modern game design as a whole β not to mention other franchises like Mega Man and Ace Attorney which revolutionized significant sub-genres in their own quieter ways. I don't even really love Capcom that much but their contributions to the current landscape of video games is shockingly under-considered
