I think a lot of this is also that like, once art leaves it's audience it gets decontextualized into simply Aesthetic, but often in the context of the target audience even "meaningless" pieces convey something, even if that's just "what the artist wanted you to see at the time".
but duplication is easy so broadcasting all art on all channels happens (for arguably good reasons)
the good news is that that art absolutely does matter; it only seems like it doesn't because capitalism's allocation of monetary value is so wildly divorced from any notion of real value that it only bears a passing semblance at best
