Been thinking about my goals for the new year. Also, I saw someone suggest that you should set concrete and quantifiable goals (instead of saying I'd like to be better, do more, etc.), which I think is pretty good advice.

So next year, I'd like to:

  • make 5 watercolor, gouache, or ink paintings
  • make one (1) animatic to a song (I keep starting them and then never finishing because I get distracted and wander away and also if someone could recommend me some cheap storyboarding software, that'd be real cool… TT^TT)
  • finish the two small games I started this year (they're mostly done already)
  • start working on a bigger, cooler game????
  • make more critters out of clay
  • reopen my online shop
  • make enough money to not worry about my stupid expensive healthcare
  • finally do that clean install on my desktop that i've been putting off for literal years

I'd like to focus on doing more personally fulfilling art this year. I really miss working traditionally, and even though making vtubers is fine, I do long for the touch of the many dusty pads of good quality watercolor paper that sits in my abandoned art closet...
