I feel like half the issue is that a bunch of directors legitimately don't seem to know what a camera cut is for anymore.
I watched The Raid: Redemption and its sequel a bit back and while the sequel has a couple rough cuts that mostly seem like the movie exceeding its budget/staffing a bit on stunts the first one is fantastic throughout on the camerawork despite having a fair few cuts
