I think for wizards, mages, etc. that "spellcaster" must be the equivalent of "content creator"
imagining a magus who's worked their ass off for years going degrees and magic sword training getting salty about them and the party's genealogy lottery winner sorcerer being collectively referred to as "the spellcasters" by the rest
D&D Bards being spellcasters is much like people who write shitposts on twitter being content creators. Like "oh right, I guess they're that too"
