anyway hot take but gear porn in TTRPGs is good when you use it to give setting info and tone to the reader and bad when you use it to just vomit out pages of being a gun nerd

the gun nerding is rarely ever like, actually demonstrating anything interesting, too. it's always just "look at how much i am a wikipedia article of weapons that were used by soldiers in a 400 mile radius around the fulda gap" as some sort of "flex"
