anyway hot take but gear porn in TTRPGs is good when you use it to give setting info and tone to the reader and bad when you use it to just vomit out pages of being a gun nerd
cyberpunk (except red) is good at this and also extremely 80s about it because it's laid out like an in-universe mail order catalog for the latest and greatest of cybertech.
shadowrun is good at it because it's laid out like forum posts of people going
The new ones are pretty good but the fragging battery melts if you drive it too hard and it's right by the handle, someone could lose a finger for christsakes
