I think it's funny that a lot of the tallest mountains in the world have fancy names either from mountaineers or from the locals and then K2 is just called K2 since no one came up with a better name because there is no locals and almost no one goes there because it'll probably kill you and it's only the second highest mountain in the world

Iirc yeah the reason why K2 isn't named is because it's literally not visible from the nearest settlement it's so remote
