playing some Disco Elysium-inspired game demos today and i'm evaluating a new objective form of game criticism, Time to Communism. the only thing it ranks is how quickly a game will allow you to proclaim yourself a communist in any capacity

Thinking about how the Civilization games are an interesting case because before you are allowed to proclaim yourself Communist you first have to invent Communism.
Wondering if it makes more sense to measure it as time to communism option in an average playthrough or treat it like a speedrun category
I think there are two stats: minimum TTC (speedrun) and mean TTC (average playthrough)
I feel like claiming that you Invented Communism is somethinf Harry DuBois would absolutely do
