a lot of you didn't use tumblr so you don't know this but I really recommend not using your profile info and pinned post to advertise a list of reasons to bully you. seriously, putting a bunch of personal info on your pinned posts won't actually do anything useful for people who respect you, and will only be picked through by people looking for victims who will react or be strongly affected by bullying. especially if you're in the habit of making funny posts that get shared a lot. Cohost is not exempt from containing insecure weirdos who want to pick on easy targets. wait until after getting to know someone before deciding whether you can trust them with your whole story. You don't owe anyone a description of your mental illnesses or traumas or anything. stay safe stay mysterious

my life got a lot easier once i realized that bullies dont actually seek out any specific demographics or personalities; weird or normal, gay or straight, girl or boy, anything in-between. they only seek out people who will be strongly affected or who will have a big reaction to bullying. people who react. cuz they're looking for a reaction! the only way to fend them off is to deny them what they want. i, however, will be more than happy to bully you about your opinions on farting.

see that works even better. real ones will LOVE what they find after the mystery is gone, and phonies who want to bully you will fight past the mystery and then find nothing of interest to them and get disenchanted with their whole bullying ethos

this also leaves out its created a culture of people obsessively combing profiles to find out what someone is "allowed" to speak on, or expecting someone to air their personal baggage and history online in order to be allowed to speak, or to not be considered a Bad -ism/-ist Person (TM).

stopping doing that kills 2 birds with 1 stone.
