I need to clear out space in my freezer, got a whole lot of frozen fruit from last summer in there still. Time to jam! Cherry-vanilla!
Roughly pureed about 3/4 of the cherries in the blender first this time, hoping it makes for a more spreadable jam while still staying thick.
Stand well back and do not stop stirring and)or screaming
Once sufficient time, screaming, and stirring has passed, the jam has been heated past its set point of 104°c, and it passes the frozen plate test...Boom!
Jar it up, boil em if you're canning, and set em aside to cool!
aaaaand then attend to the ginormous mess! Have fun!
