For what it's worth I did comment my method that's mostly worked for me in the comments of Phorm's post but yeah a lot of the resources out there are genuinely pretty terrible
The best sounding trans woman I know didn't follow any of them and just "kinda felt it out, even when their voice hurt trying" which is like negative advice to a lot of those videos so 🤷♀️
Yeah, about the only two things everyone agrees on is practice, and having to power through sounding awful
Yeah there is a lot of sounding bad before sounding good...
I also started with a tiny vocal range and a very deep voice so it's been a very uphill battle 
Things do really get better, but everyone downplays how much dang tiring work it is
yeah, it's that last part that really drives me up the wall, people who talk about it as something you just do and it's done, and not something you'll be doing for months, years, forever.
I'm glad you're having some success though, hope you can get something you're happy with, I'm just kinda in a bad mood
Oh for sure, it's a process that you will likely work on for your whole transition. I'm 10 years deep into mine and I still feel like I should practice more even though I'm "passing".
