Brazilian conventions finally started having real artist alleys again, São Paulo is finally getting small conventions after years of Yamato/Anime Friends killing the competition, and now the indie game dev scene is rising up again...
I never was truly part of the indie game scene because I did games for a living and not for a hobby (and the companies I worked for back then were very Not Indie) but SP Jam is the reason I got dragged into the industry, so it's very nice to see the same people finally start organizing meetups again (even if I'm bummed I can't be there)
On a similar note, there's going to be an industry meetup specifically for Puppet Game Animators (Live2D, Spine) in Japan and I'm biting my fingers wishing I could go to something like this. It's specifically for me!!! That's my hole!!!!!!
