80s movies, 90s trash tv and/or retro games with the streamer's playlist full of highly DMCA-unsafe songs at full volume. basically the twitch equivalent of a pirate broadcast.
And bless them for doing so! One I came across was streaming Saturday morning cartoons I grew up with that don't even have a DVD release. Was a fun time.

If you want to reach the peak of popularity, you tend to somehow need to appeal to an extremely large population, including dumb teenagers.
You see something similar play out with films, where the studios want everything to be rated PG, and not have too complex a plot, as doing otherwise limits the possible audience.
