once you make too many layers, that file will just start slowing down and eventually it just runs out of memory and crashes without any warning. constantly. if you're unlucky this also corrupts the layer you were working on.

it creates automatic rollback points (when? how? unclear) so you can revert to an earlier version, and also i have the habit of meticulously duplicating files as i am working on them (i'm EXTREMELY thankful for Blender's "incremental save" feature), but it still sucks

another thing thats very very annoying is how buggy canvas resizes are; sometimes when you increase the canvas size, the existing layers will move around on the canvas and misalign??? this can then also start happening on an image which previously had its canvas scaled up, any time while selecting multiple layers and transposing them, or randomly when the app crashes. IT SUCKS.

all in all, i think i'll wind down my IP usage and instead shift to clip studio paint on android (which i was already using on desktop anyway). the main thing that sucks is that i'll have to remake/find an equivalent for my main lineart brush that i was really happy with

in reply to @gabu's post:

it really is too bad because i'd love to support a single dev making an art app (well... i did buy it already but i mean like, continue support and promoting it), and i otherwise like its UI the best (greatly enjoy how simple but customizable it all is)

i prefer apps that take the procreate approach and really dislike apps that look like full desktop programs with a toolbar and panels and stuff

CSP's simple mode will have to do i guess...

Yeah that's true. I've been using infinite painter for ages, there's a lot that I like about it (I started with autodesk sketchbook waaay back in the day, but I really didn't get on with it), and it's still pretty good for sketches, but I wouldn't really go further than that. I like the UI too, although it seems a bit buggy on my current phone.

These days I use it to do a sketch, then wait until I get home and do everything else with Krita on my desktop
