ok i swear i'll stop about this cohost financial stuff, but i've seen some folks suggest that a "pay what you want" cohost subscription would be good, and i absolutely agree! that purchase model has been my go-to for all my releases because morally i think it aligns very well for me: you can pay less (in my case, you can download for free), lowering the barrier of entry, and mostly negating the need for piracy. but if you want to support me more (or if you're rich or whatever), you can also pay more. i think it's a great transparent way of pricing (not to mention very digital-age in a good way).
i think cohost missed a trick by not making it VERY CLEAR that you can buy more than one cohost plus subscription (but, you can! please do if you can afford it!).
and also, like, yes i would gladly pay for some promoted posts a-la blaze (and i think that would be a pretty low barrier to develop and deploy, though i am no coder so idk), you could include a setting thats like "i would be okay with seeing a promoted post every [5/10/15/∞] posts" if you wanted to be really upfront about it. it's kinda the same thing, you give the option to negate the need for adblock.
anyway...
