a lot of times in fantasy you see fire that is other colours, like blue or green
and you see this with lightning too. like blue lightning or green or so on and so forth
but you dont really see this with ice. ice is always blue-white. why is that

yeah but you don't see it as a staple of fantasy!! if some thing's chucking green fire around it's like. oh FUCK that thing means business
colorful ice probably makes you think oh "huh. i wonder whats frozen!" i guess red ice would be a pretty intense cool thing to have in a large quantity
