ok honestly i don't even know what to say. the past two seasons both had shows with supernaturally good first episodes (DIY and onimai), and that streak was impressive enough that i didn't think this one would continue it, and yet. here we have what is possibly the most supernaturally perfect episode 1 i've ever seen lmao. literally every single aspect of it is so immaculately-crafted that the entire package almost defies comprehension, but it's real! it's real and you can watch it right now, and you should do that. please watch this holy shit. also read kvin's article about the production afterwards, because i'd be loathe to just leave this as the work of the divine
