I'm turning 43 on December 18 and before then, I'm hoping to raise $4300 for Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

Do you think bombing hospitals is good? No? Do you have money? Yes? Great! Then use the link below to donate:

And if you don't have money, or even if you do, feel free to reshare.

Bump! I’m 31% of the way to my goal. Please give if you can; even $5 helps.

36% of the way there! (Thanks to @acfoltzer and some other people who either are anonymous, not on Cohost or whose Cohost names I don't know.)

I'm an American citizen. I pay taxes to support a government that almost unanimously, across all of its branches, financially and politically supports the military state of Israel. I'm Jewish, and am told by people who speak for my country that Israel is the one place I'd be entitled to be, with the implication that it's where I should be. I would rather be where I live now. Israel bombs hospitals. It bombs children's hospitals. To avoid reifying, there are people who make decisions to bomb hospitals who are in power in Israel, and they do it with public support from their citizens. Israelis have killed 18,000 Palestinians since October 7. They have killed countless more, and made countless more into refugees, since 1948. They haven't done it alone, but with American and European support. I share in the blame for bombing hospitals. And many apparently perfectly normal, moral people in my country think it's morally right to bomb hospitals, as long as it's done to Palestinians. There is very little I can do about this, but I can give some of the wealth that accrues to me by virtue of being a white-passing American citizen to support aid to Gaza, and can try to persuade you to do the same, and I hope you will.

My birthday has come and gone, but I'm keeping this fundraiser open until the end of the year! I'm now 2/3 of the way there and it would feel great to go all the way. Every donation counts, big and small. Palestine will be free, but until it is, aid needs to flow there from the people in the countries that have benefited the most -- and continue to benefit the most -- from settler colonialism.
