despite that the modern kirby era has a lot of dark and depressing elements within the lore,
i still think the dark matter trilogy is still the most dark the series has ever gone to. (especially dreamland 3 and the cyrstal shards)
shinichi shimomura was definetely up to something when he was directing for kirby before dissapearing suddenly, and then shinya kumazaki picked it up and continued off from where he left off when he became director.
