mario wonder made me realize that i really do miss the times when i play new super mario bros wii with my sibs (and occasianally my parents and friends from elementary school) almost all the time back in the day, and it made me happy that i get to experience something like that again.

look all i'm saying is that, new super mario bros wii will always be my most favorite installment of the nsmb series and one of my all time favorite 2d mario games. sure it's part of a sub-series that's has a "nobody cares" and "generic" aura around it, especially that the games after it pretty much adds that aura to the max (+ it also made an effect on the other games outside of the new soup series during the 2010s era but that's a whole other can of worms), but despite all that, new soup wii still has a special place in my heart.

(jun senoue i love you man i really really do, but your use of the sega genesis sound really didn't bring your compositions to light and it fucking hurts to witness)

i sometimes forget that the company who made bubsy also published ballz 3d.
