the dusk & dawn universe is the world these two live in (i call them universes more often than worlds due to having a sort of OC multiverse) slash the story title. these two would be our main protagonists (well... protagonist is definitely debatable, especially as bihr's story progresses).
if i was to pick a way to tell the story it would be told by two webcomics running parallel to one another :>

So angels exist in this universe, what else? Are angels well known or secret? what are the consequences of being a 'fallen' angel like Biraquiel? What is the job of a not-fallen angel like Barakhiel?
there's angels and demons, and then a hierarchy of each species. that's it Unfortunately as far as the supernatural goes. anything seen as ghosts/vampires/cryptids/etc is just a demon doing their job.
angels and demons are NOT well known among humans, there's religion and such especially for god and for specific demons, and there's definitely proof of both existing, but most people turn a blind eye to it. most angels stay out of the way of humans, helping in the background or only making themselves known in a time where their reality is disputable (like a near death experience), but demons kinda don't care; their job is to frighten people, hurt them, or turn them to sin.
angels can appear on earth in the form of humans or animals while demons can appear as humans and animals as well, but also ghosts, reflections, objects or plain old demons.
