great hole! is it raymarched in the material or something? I don’t know how I’d do this in regular 3D software
I followed a tutorial a mutual had linked me. The basics of it is using geometry nodes to create 64 nested glass spheres that are refracting the volumetric lighting of the accretion disk. Noise is used to generate the shape of the lighting. The shader node tree looks ridiculous by the end I must say. Kinda fucked up this is only 3 meshes
