'The Found EP' features songs made up entirely of my daily home recordings mangled into musical shapes... and also bass guitar. Making this EP was so weird and time-consuming that the quality of the mix took a hit, but I'm still proud of how it turned out and I learned a lot about finding musicality in extremely un-musical sources.
'print string' was (mostly) constructed with Korg Volcas controlled by an Arturia Keystep Pro, and was my first foray into synth hardware music-making. All the drum samples I used were designed from my daily home recordings. I was aiming for an anime/city pop vibe, and one of the songs is about how much I love my cat.
'Awe Abiding' is made up of two piano pieces I wrote in college, and three piano pieces I wrote in 2019. I spent the COVID lockdown tinkering at it, learning how to perform all the pieces, even though they were all written with more skillful pianists in mind. It took forever, but it's here, and you can listen to it if you want! I was really big into Final Fantasy in college. I'm sure you'll be able to tell.
'????????' is a mysterious upcoming EP that I'm in the process of working on, utilizing a minimal hardware setup and sound effects performed live to make unsettling ambient soundscapes. At least, unsettling is what I'm aiming for! Will I succeed?? You can follow my Bandcamp page and find out when it finally gets released in early November (or maybe earlier if I can swing it!)
