And so Jasper awoke from her first dream since landing in Town. She shared breakfast parfaits with Chuubo, and had plans for a morning walk interrupted by Seizhi, who learned about Chuubo's tail and beautiful houseguest all at once. They agreed to take Jasper to the Kichi pools after school, and Jasper was mildly disappointed at the intrusion of a new stranger into his time with Chuubo.
The following scene, Jasper visited the Hayashi Archive, where Miramie took him to look at the history books, and there learned that Celestia seemed to have died while he fell. Attaris II assisted, and also may have broken a vase. Jasper left in some despair, having confirmed the deaths of both Celestia and Jade Irinka. Attaris II took the opening to ask Miramie for assistance with maps, to help pursue her geomantic project, making herself vulnerable to her. Miramie agreed to help, and dipped into the well of Melanie Malakh's memories to begin doing so.
