During the Wanderhome Interlude one of our players, @nephis, composed and sung several songs from the Haeth. The first, Stone From the Castle, was a work song and a song from the rebellion. The second, Water Finds its Way, was a special song that could summon down the mighty god Rhodite, a serpent of gold and lightning, who could illuminate the world and shrouded itself in storm clouds to protect others from itself.
Stone From the Castle
The tyrant king
He builds his towers tall
But when he hears us sing
It makes him feel so small
He arms his men with swords
We arm ourselves with hammers
For breaking down his doors
And dismantling his castleStone from the castle
Stone from the castle
We’ll pave our roads
With stone from the castle
Stone from the castle
Stone from the castle
We’ll build our homes
With stone from the castle
This song also has a second or alternate verse, as sung by the rebels Yarrow and Aslind on the night before their execution:
The tyrant's swords are sharp
and rebel blood may spill
while they may pierce our hearts
they'll never break our willstone from the castle
stone from the castle
they'll mark our bones
with stone from the castle
Water Finds its Way
Way down, way down
water finds its way down
way down, way down
water finds its wayof all the world i've roamed
there's nowhere i can stay
where is my home?
water knows the waymy eyes have seen such tragedy
and still they cannot cry
the drought that's deep inside of me
has left my heart so dryso when the rains fall from the sky
i lift my face to the storm
and where the rain falls from my eyes
that's where i'll know i'm homeway down, way down
water finds its way down
way down, way down
water finds its way
