true ending comes when you realize the scientist isn't interested unless you can notch it up from "dubious" to "outright depraved"

Sounds like something I’d read rather than go to sleep, until it’s 3am and I’m blearily thinking “why won’t the scientist just understand” like an idiot so hell yeah.
This has happened in several of my Sims 3 and 4 save files…
