this is such phenomenal cartooning and I'm so glad I got to see the finished work before the site went down. the early panels remind me of those mesmerizing sequences in Belladonna of Sadness where negative space gets animated coiling and twisting around the action. it's easy even to mistake the first panel for an expression, a cartoony smiling mouth, which fits the theme of the comic (a void, a negative space, being used to define oneself)
a mature and functional comics theory/criticism would go absolutely ballistic over this; as it is, I'd hesitate to write about it because Patreon has decided that anything sexual is Adult Material and anything Adult Material can only be accessed if you present your papers to the relevant fucking authorities.
