The Tempest are given a job by Goodfellow Logistics of the Prospero Combine to steal the Cressida Silence, a freight hauler carrying four new Pinion-class patrol ships to a dropoff point. The Pinion class is crewed by 4-6, and has space for up to 6 marines and pilots, as well as two mechs transported externally. It's a fleet workhorse, notable for light armaments, high maneuverability, and being capable of re-orbiting itself if necessary.

The Cressida Silence is escorted by two other pinions, the ARS-Guilder and ARS-Rosen. The Tempest decide it's the time for a direct assault, and successfully get the drop on them; Robin succeeds at disabling one Gyr standard mech before closing in and singlehandedly bisecting one Pinion, before cutting off the front third of the second after it sustains heavy damage from shrapnel from its sister ship. Sedna destroyed another Gyr mech while Ravine bribed the crew of the Silence into compliance, and then persuaded the remaining two pilots to flee. Throughout, Arle provided fire support to his comrades.

Engagement successful, they made off with the Cressida Silence, left the crew in a life boat with their sizable bribe, and left the area before the mechs could get in contact with the Second Army carrier ARS-Barnardo, securing a ship for themselves as well as completing the first assignment from a Prospero squadron. They're gonna have some messy questions to deal with from their Republic friends after this one!

Their true purpose is to deliver the Rook-prototype psychic transmitter to Ophelia Cybertronics, who intend to intercept or redirect the flight, as well as get Aster Pharmakon scientist Portia Crimson and Crude Mechanical Medea Moment offworld.
