Maybe a long shot, but if anyone (especially in Canada) knows a way to source a large gourd with approx a ≈10 inch diameter, let me know!
I've been hunting for a big, sturdy, dried gourd that I can use to make my own fretless gourd banjo. I can't seem to find anything in Canada, it's stupid expensive to import, and I don't have access to space to grow and dry my own.
I've sent an email to a gourd farm in Ontario but their site says they're currently not operating so we shall see.
Do you have any pumpkin farms near you? When we went apple picking last year (near Toronto) you got to pick a pumpkin or gourd with your big bag o' apples. It might not be something specifically advertised, but I'm sure you could call up pumpkin farms re: gourd status.
Is there a particular kind of gourd it should be? I see some in grocery stores sometimes this time of year too, and the idea of mailing a gourd is very funny and I'd do it if I found a suitable one.
I think specifically a fried thick walled gourd between 10-12 inches in diameter! I'm hoping the gourd farm in Ontario I emailed replies lolol
