Got this cheap manual espresso maker and watched a few videos on how to instantly make the machine produce higher quality shots.
This mostly involved finding a naked portafilter that I can use non pressurized baskets and getting a few accessories, like a real tamper. I haven't tasted plain, fresh espresso in ages (I used to regularly drink shots of espresso with no sugar—unless it was a cubano) and I was pleased (shocked) by the results of this little machine. Flavor! Smooth! Turned me into a chef kiss emoji! 😘👌✨️
And then because I'm a monster and it's 10pm and I'm trying to fix my sleep schedule, I froze the shot after my taste test. Lol. I'll throw it in an iced macchiato tomorrow. Lmao.
I'm so ready for cold weather and in-house cappuccinos tbh
