my god, clearing a bit of space on my PC and found out that a file called "hiberfil.sys" is just a feature that I will never use on PC (allows you to resume what you're doing on the computer after shutting down - more useful for like, a laptop you need to shut down to save bettery)

most stuff I was reading about about it everything was like "yeah it's safe to disable with a command prompt" and "usually it's 1-2GB that gets freed up"

MINE WAS ALMOST 13 GIGABYTES???

in reply to @ghoulnoise's post:

Yeah, the file should be roughly the size of your RAM capacity IIRC? Since the computer literally just writes the contents of RAM to the hard drive and calls it a night
