Coal was currently laying on her back on the coach. In one had was one of her typical fantasy books she enjoyed and the other was casually placed behind her head with one leg arched in the air and the other dangling off the side in a rather lazy fashion. Coal had just received word that she'd be going up against Opal and the Umbreon just clicked her tongue in response, resigning herself to a loss.
"Opal's a firecracker, people are gonna love her." She mumbled to herself as she used a thumb to flip a page. "She's always spelunking in caves or finding ancient ruins and stuff, the second she heard about the tourney she already declared she was going to find some ancient treasures to use as part of her outfit." She mulled over to herself, both her and Opal unaware that they'd be wearing matching outfits as their rounds gimmick. "...But if I give in just like that Emeralds going to talk my ear off and Ruby and Topaz will hold a grudge for a few weeks... so I should probably think of something." Coal huffed as she kept reading her book before letting out a annoyed groan and letting it drop onto her face.
"I don't knowwwww. Why couldn't have Sift let Amber take my spoooot."
Coal would remove the book from her face after a few minutes of sitting in silence, unable to focus on her story anymore as the tourney really was all she could think about. "Alright. Alright. Enough feeling all wishy-washy about all this." She gathered, clapping her hands together. "I'll give it a honest shot and we'll see what happens." Coal announced to no one in particular. "I'll just... just uhh... shoot, I don't really know. I'm not goin' to some ruins and getting cursed. I still remember that time Opal showed up and had like... extra arms and was part mummy. Fixing that sucked."
There was a few moments of silence as the Umbreon mulled things over- and soon enough she had a glint in her red eyes as she stood up and started down the hallway of the home.
"Maaaybe I'll just take a peak in Opal's vault and borrow something. Make a ruins outfit for myself~." She snickered as she approached a simple door with a picture of Opal on it, "My Stash" written in a font right out of a comic book. "It's only fair as we let her keep all her junk in the spare room..." She smiled to herself as she gently opened the door and clicked on a light switch.
The Crystal home as massive for sure, but on the outside it looked like any suburban house. Inside even with dimensions twisted due to Sifttech it still looked normal- just with longer hallways then what should be physically possible. But Opal's Treasury looked right out of a movie. Gilded walls, mounds of sparkling coins and gemstones, shelves housing rare and exotic rocks- it was comical how over the top it all was... and probably why Opal decided to paint the walls yellow to emulate those silly scenes in the first place.
It was a sight that by all means should strike awe and greed into the hearts of anyone... but Coal just entered with a plain look on her face as it was as normal to her as it gets, a simple "Let's see." being uttered as she began to pick up exotic coins and gems to turn over in her hands before putting them back.
"Nothin from the gold piles unless I like... drill em out and make them a necklace. But I can't exactly undo that if I do." She muttered as she eyed a few rocks and a couple ancient slabs.
"I'm not walkin out into a show with some ancient braille scriptures she found on the ocean floor." Coal continued to window shop before noticing a handful of colorful jewelry in little clear cases. Brooches and elaborate hairpins that had several hundred decades of history to them. "...Oooh I think we're onto something here." Coal smirked as she took a shining red brooch with gold, blue, and silver wings. "Can fashion a look out of one of my books with this thi-"
She wasn't able to finish the statement as the brooch began to glow and quickly shot towards her chest- the tri color bands extending to wrap around her neck forming a snug ancient Egyptian look, the glowing of the red stone reflecting in her eyes for a moment before her pupils turned into golden Ankhs. She was originally wearing her usual yellow t-shirt and navy blue jeans but even they'd shift to a beige and white appearance, gold patterns appearing on her clothes giving a strange hybrid look of the past and future. Her wrists would glow and with a crackle gold bands of jewelry would appear that stretched up to her elbows. This would continue down both legs as the glowing yellow circles in her fur would also shift into Ankh-like patterns.
Coal would then speak, but someone else's voice would be heard.
"Ahhh... I am awake I see..." She spoke, looking over herself with a dark chuckle. "I wonder how long I've slept...? Mmm..." The possessed woman spoke as she looked herself over.
"...Nowhere near good enough for a goddess like me." She concluded as the gemstone began to glow again- Coals breasts and hips expanding greatly into a perfect hourglass that strained the clothes she was wearing to almost-ripping levels.
"A start. I'll have to find a expert of the craft to make me something more... me." She said with a smug tone as she brushed a gold highlight of her hair out from in front of her eyes. "Regardless, I think it's time that Empress Legrandite announces her return."
With a low rumble and not a single care for the treasury of her surroundings Coal's body would began to expand through the roof, the mega jiggly umbreon rocketing in size quickly until a single toe could smash the entire city to a pulp, both colossal feet planted on either side of it. "A simple stretch mhmhm..." She cooed as she peered past her chest at the city below her, her image faded from sheer distance as clouds swirled around her ankles at best.
"Your queen returns to the world, bugs. Offer your loyalty or be crushed beneath my godly feet. You have no other option." She laughed as she took a regal step forward- the displacing step sending shock waves across the world as she announced her return with devastation.
...All while Amber was sitting in the ruined home with a bothered look on her face, phone to her ear. "Yeah she got into Opals stash and didn't pay attention to the curse warnings." She mumbled. "You'll handle this?" She asked sounding a bit surprised. "I mean why not let this Legran...whatever roam around. Let me be the 8th contestant!" She pleaded before letting out a annoyed groan. "I know she'll enslave everyone if you don't stop her, Sift... just agh fair. Alright." She mumbled as she could still see her possessed sister on the horizon stepping on something and going off about her godhood, the eevee folding her arms under her chest as she leaned back on her beanbag. "Shoulda been me getting possessed at least. Blehh...."
