I mean, seriously what else do I have to put here, it's Breath of the Wild.
I absolutely love how open ended this game is. Coming up with creative solutions to solve puzzles, or sometimes just brute forcing it until things work. Sometimes stumbling upon one of the most important items in the entire game. Going places where obviously, you shouldn't, but you do it anyway. It just all felt so addictive, the more I played, the more I saw, the more I solved, the better, and better, and better the game got. Some of my friends were watching as I played, and were baffled by how I chose to solve certain puzzles, and not many other games allowed me to get that sense of joy, especially since my methods worked.
And god, the exploration is an absolute blast too, my brain isn't big enough to comprehend the whole map, so even when revisting areas I've already been to felt like I've just gotten there for the first time. There's so much I probably haven't seen, and probably so many things I've missed, it's just absolutely wild how big this game is. I can't imagine ever 100%ing this game either, that would probably drive me mad.
I definitely think this game has a couple flaws, one boss was kinda bad, and the durability system could be a bit better, but that all feels drowned out by how memorable this game was for me. Of the small list of Zelda games I've played, this has easily become a favorite of mine, it's a wonder I haven't gotten to it much sooner.
