the most murdered victim on earth

my name pen. everything bad that happens to me is the worst thing that’s ever happened in my entire life.

it’s all happening with social media huh. i’m taking a more doomer approach than most to the financial update - seriously, they have three weeks of money left, their funder has been missing for a month with no signs of imminent return, if they have a hail mary they have to do it now, where is this userbase optimism coming from - and bracing for shutdown.

however, i’ve been using twitter less and only still go back for a few friends that refuse to leave. tumblr’s potential was torpedoed by the ceo’s massive transphobic meltdown, though it’s long been a money pit charity case anyway. i refuse to join bluesky or mastodon. discord is terrible as a social hub for meeting new people.

maybe i really should start my own site, though that’s not great for meeting people either… well at least it can broadcast my thoughts about which anime boys are gay into the void…

yeah, going back to a longform blog would be nice, though i'll need to look at my options for it. they're mostly done through wordpress.com hosting, and i only have experience with the much more limited .org for excite... even if the ceo is currently being Like That wordpress.com makes up like 30% of the internet or some shit so it's not in danger like tumblr is, so...

WordPress. Com is a hosting service, .org is the home of the software which is free and open source. I settled on htmly for myself while I was figuring out what our options were for migrating bereke scrubs WordPress.com blog to something else, but I have some experience hosting this kind of stuff.

WordPress isn't a bad choice and a ton of hosting providers will offer an installer for it that does the fiddly stuff for you and leaves you with a fresh blog ready to customize.

i mixed up .org and .com, fuck! that's what i get for posting on the clock. well you got the point. i'll look into the plugins and stuff for it, because what i really want is a blog with a separate gallery so i can post my drawings... putting them in monthly blog posts sounds clunky and bad
