i remember seeing a post a while back about an idea for a game where the whole focus is just spaceship maintenance; i cant find it anymore but for some reason i got inspired to try and make something along those lines, maybe with some light psychological horror elements too? i think low-res textures with baked-in lighting would be an interesting aesthetic. unfortunately that means you can't watch as the light of the sun(s) shining through the windows moves over time, also interactible objects will have much more primitive lighting, though in a way that kinda reminds me of the Conspicuously Flat and Slightly Brighter Objects On Top Of The Painted Background in a cartoon that you know are going to move. would be nice to have shadows somehow though
no guarantees this'll go anywhere of course, this is me we're talking about after all
