I was literally just about to ask if exactly that existed and now I regret missing that glorious era
I can't tell you how much I miss devices that had distinct physical open/close actions:
- Could look so cool with the one-hand flip-open/close action
- It was a deliberate action to close the device and have it not distract you anymore
- Gave room for so much creativity in industrial design
folding phones have been a thing for a while, the flippy ones have varying levels of usefulness when closed
