I've been replaying Perfect Dark with the benefit of mouselook / HD resolution / 60 FPS support, thanks to the semi-recent decompilation effort. And speaking as someone who has been playing this damned game for twenty years now, this latest port is by far the best way to play (at least as far as single-player is concerned); between real hardware, the old 1964 mouselook hook, the XBLA / Rare Replay version, or the attempts to hack mouselook into that latter version. Playing PD as a native PC game is honestly something like a revelation: The genuine variety of objectives and levels, the pure satisfaction that comes from shooting the guns, and now having truly tight control over all of it... Truly, the future is now -- playing a twenty-three year-old game that still kicks the collective asses of most first-person shooters that have come out since its original release.
And don't y'all worry: It's still tough as nails on 'Perfect Agent' difficulty, even with the benefit of mouse and keyboard control lol.
