Gamergate feels similar to 9/11 in how the world (or America at least) before and after those incidents feels completely different. To the point that someone born after those times wouldnt even recognize the world before they happened. It's strange when you think about how much one thing has such a wide reaching effect.
P.S. fuck that self hating motherfucker in tiktok thats siccing his nazi followers on the black girls working at SBI.
I dearly want to believe that this is the swan song of present-day bigotry. If these societal shitstains felt there was absolutely nothing to worry about regarding the integrity of the power structure their self esteems rely upon, we wouldn't be seeing these groups of Diet Klansmen combing through every game with a fine-toothed hate comb looking for rainbow paedo-sigils, we wouldn't see them using protractors to measure the angles of men and women leaning in pictures, or the angles people's femurs join with their hips, or any of the other absolutely batshit turbo-manosphere rituals they perform daily to reassure themselves that they're still on top.
In reality, even if this is the beginning of the end for their piss-filled ideology, it's not going to stop innocent people from being terrorized or murdered. I'm finding myself saying less and less about these things online, not because I'm turning a blind eye, but because almost everything I want to say about the subject is going to be a violation of someone's TOS. I feel like I'm two people, with one smiling and posting silly shit online, and the other seething with rage at the things I am seeing, and I'm feeling it all at the same time.
