also this may be my most controversial take (on a website full of adults who are self proclaimed activists i suppose) but in what universe is speciesism a more pressing concern than ableism. this is putting some real irony into my classic saying "autistic people are treated worse than dogs"

Oh! What I mean is some people define themselves by being activists -- so when they run low on things to be activists about, it can lead to them picking up some... very odd causes, or stances -- like what you said up there
