this is the soundtrack for Sonic Drift 1. it's a download i got off slsk ages ago, being a direct gamerip. what's weird in this picture?

that's right: the "Unused Songs". at the time i thought nothing of it, sonic games have plenty of demos/cut tracks, what makes Drift different? i put it in my archive after a quick once-over and that was that.

until just now, when i decided to look them up out of boredom.

nothing. nada. not on youtube, fansites, forums, TCRF, not one place online that mentions Drift 1 in any capacity talks about them. im still looking as i write this but no luck whatsoever.

ive contacted the original uploader to see if there was a mistake of some kind, maybe a mismatched cross with some random game but, im not sure. these tracks genuinely sound like messy, early attempts that fit right into the OST, with one major exception that i'll share in a repost.

am i going insane? if you're a sonic music nutbar like me, please tell me im not crazy and these tracks indeed exist somewhere. if you have the OST yourself, do you have these tracks too? the only source i have for them is the slsk uploader, nothing else

here's one that seems more in line with Drift's OST. again, cant find it anywhere. i cant hear any direct similarities with the existing OST but it definitely has the same sound to it.

here's the major exception one mentioned in the first post. what the hell would've this been used for, i have to know.

ive quickly zipped my version of the OST up and stuck it on mediafire in case anyone is curious. shoutouts to SonicRings on slsk for unknowingly hosting demo tracks for a sonic game since 2014 sldkfj. if the ffshrine lead is right, then this was discovered at some point far earlier but, i guess was just lost to time.

im so fucking curious about these tracks though. what on earth was #7 meant for? it sounds nothing like the final OST.
