Man it always really gets me when I realize how some people just do not tolerate any mystery in their stories.
Watching this guy going on about how the one thing he doesn't like in John Wick is that the story doesn't immediately give him a bunch of backstory about who John Wick is, and particularly latches onto how all the characters in the story know who John Wick is but the audience doesn't. Like, just completely fails to realize that it's an intentional writing device.
Good lord I cannot imagine thinking John Wick would've been even remotely better by crow-barring a bunch of exposition into it.
